STORIES OF SOME GROUP VISITORS TO
LADY OF THE LAKES SUITES
From a June bride
"We had such a lovely stay at Lady of the Lakes! I will be recommending it to everyone I know. Such a great set up & perfect for large groups! People would be foolish not to choose this property because at the end of the day everyone has their own space which we all found very nice! We got married Saturday at Heron Hill Winery & our family & friends were able to stay the week with us & really kick back relax. Thank you Lady of the Lakes for EVERYTHING! The property is Gorgeous!"
A May Wedding
On a pretty weekend in May a wedding party rented all 5 suites as part of a very special couple's weekend wedding celebration. They held a Friday night Rehearsal Dinner Barbeque for 50 people on the beach at Lady of the Lakes Suites; then a Saturday wedding took place at another nearby location. We were delighted to have Lady of the Lakes Suites part of a lifetime memory for the happy bride and groom!
A July 4th Family Reunion
For July 4th week, a family used all 5 suites for a family reunion. Here is their story...
"What a perfect lace for a family reunion! We slept 20+ people (4 per suite, plus some nights used the very comfy sofa beds in the livig rooms for extra guests) in the homiest place ever...a home-away-from-home charmer. Each suite has a picnic table on the long, lake-facing covered porch; and since the railings between each suite's section of the porch are removeable, we set those dividing railings aside and moved the 5 picnic tables into one long table. It was great! The whole family could easily join together for meals and eat with a beautiful view of the lake. Each suite has a dining table inside it, too, so sometimes people ate there - particularly the kids for breakfast. Throughout the day, the 5 separae suites made it eash to break from the crowd for some solitude...to let a baby sleep, to read quietly, work on a computer project, watch TV, etc...in one's own space.
Five kitchens made meal preparation and clean-up almost easy! With 5 refrigerators, 5 ovens, 5 stoves tops, 5 microwaves, and 5 sinks (& 5 bathrooms, too!), it was very convenient for multiple people to help. Each family fixed one lunch and one dinner, then others cleaned up. That made it a real vacation even for the cooks.
The large, level lawn next to the porch was a terrific spot for the kids to play baseball & kickball and throw frisbees...lots of room to run, but within easy view of parental supervision from the porch...and always with our eyes on beautiful, ever-shimmering Keuka Lake.
SEVEN! additional picnic tables were scattered around the grounds. Relaxing at these, plus swimming, water skiing, tubing, fishing, boating, biking, roasting marshmallows over the fire pit, singing around night-time bond fires; and trips to The Windmill, wineries, raspberry picking, and even a hike through Letchworth State Park, made it a terrific family vacation. Many thanks to Lady of the Lakes Suites for providing such a wonderful memory-making place for our family to stay!"
July Family Gathering
"Every 5 years our family has a reunion; and this time it was at Keuka Lake. Four generations attended...from 10 to 90 years old!...coming from CA, IL, KS, MD, NY, NJ and OH. About 20 of us stayed at Lady of the Lakes Suites for the week, plus we rented 2 other nearby cottages. It was a fantastic time! We did LOTS of water sports...tubing, water skiing, fishing, kayaking, windsurfing, paddle boarding, sailing...and had lots of great food (must say thanks to "Around the Corner Catering").
We stocked each kitchen with breakfast foods, so for that meal people ate at their own place and pace. Then we ate lunches and dinners together - mostly at the picnic tables scattered around Lady of the Lakes Suites - either on the large porch, around the lawn, or by the beach. For one dinner we had a BBQ at Keuka Lake State Park (directly across the lake from Lady of the Lakes Suites).
Winery tours; trips to Corning Museum of Glass, McKenzie Childs and Niagara Falls; spa days at Bristol Harbor Resort; hiking, biking & antiquing; evening campfires with toasting marshamallows, grilling sliders, some guitar and banjo picking; ...and more. All part of our very memorable week together in the wonderful Finger Lakes."
An October Wedding story
"Our new son-in-law's family rented your entire location for our family wedding. Everyone was delighted with your facilities - the property was perfect and added a great deal to our experience together. On the day after the wedding we had a great picnic on the beach at Lady of the Lakes Suites.
Our note to you.... it was difficult to locate a place for a group right on the lake. You need to promote your great location more! Owner comment: We're working on it!
